Congratulations to our 2025 Community Grant Recipients!
This year, we received nearly 60 applications for our Community Grants — an incredible response from passionate people working to make a difference across our region.
After many thoughtful conversations, we were delighted to select 31 community projects to support in 2025. These initiatives span from the top of the Coromandel, down to Opoutere, and across to Paeroa, covering a wide range of inspiring work — from garden-to-table programmes and native tree planting, to pest control, stream restoration, and innovative recycling ideas.
The mahi these groups are doing is nothing short of spectacular. Thanks to their efforts, bats and bitterns are being rediscovered in new spaces across our region — a testament to the power of community-driven environmental action.
